Ritva Toivonen is the new Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry

Docent Ritva Toivonen has been appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry from the beginning of 2018.

Docent Ritva Toivonen (b. 1962) starts as Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry on 1 January 2018.

Ritva Toivonen graduated as MSc in the University of Helsinki in 1987 and completed the licenciate dergree in 1995. Ritva Toivonen did her PhD in 2011 in the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry in the University of Helsinki.

Ritva Toivonen held the position of Research Director/Research Manager of the PTT – Pellervo Economic Research Institute in 1997–2007. After that she acted as CEO/Director General in Tapio Ltd/Forestry Development Centre Tapio Oy till 2016. Since then she has worked as Business Development Director in the Municipality of Säkylä and, starting in May 2017, CEO of the Rauma Chamber of Commerce.
