HiLIFE supports commercialization of research

In December 2017, Helsinki Institute of Life Science HiLIFE divided the total of € 347,900 Proof of Concept Grants between seven projects to accelerate the commercialization of research findings and development of novel technologies. The deadlines for 2018 applications are 5 March, 1 June, and 15 October.

HiLIFE Proof of Concept (HiPoC) Grants  can be applied by University of Helsinki life science researchers with a doctorate who consider or are already involved in an invention disclosure to Helsinki Innovation Services, or listed as inventors on a pending patent application owned by University of Helsinki.

The first HiPoC Grants were awarded in October 2017 (see the list of recipients), and in December the Grant was awarded to the following researchers and projects:
