The celebrations culminated in the New Year Festival held by the cities of Helsinki and Beijing on Monday 4th of February at the Kansalaistori. The event has been organized in Helsinki since 2007 and it combines a lively market to exquisite performances, ending with the fireworks in the evening.  The Confucius Institute had a small info stand selling textbooks for studying Chinese and some small decorations. The weather was cold, but the atmosphere made the place warmer.
