Helsinki Area and Language Studies, a.k.a. HALS, is a network of linguists at the University of Helsinki interested in researching, documenting, and preserving the world’s linguistic diversity. It brings together researchers working on language typology, language description, sociolinguistics, language revitalization, and historical linguistics. The GramAdapt project has benefited greatly from the wider network of other diversity linguists at the university already since its idea stage.
In the seminar Kaius Sinnemäki (PI) presented the main goals of the project, followed by presentations by the postdoctoral researchers of the project. The titles of the presentations are listed below and you can access them by clicking the links which leads to the University of Helsinki Research Portal.
