Workshop at the private Zirkusarchiv Winkler in Berlin, 3.11.2018

The project “Diverging Fates: Travelling Circus People in Europe under National Socialism”(www.divergingfates.eu) in cooperation with its follow-up project “Forgotten Cosmopolitans: Europe’s Circus People in the Wake of WWII” will arrange a cooperative research workshop with members of the circus community at the private Zirkusarchiv Winkler in Berlin, 3.11.2018. Among the participants will be also the former circus artist Gisela Nyman, 84.  For several years she performed with her husband Kalle Nyman in the Tivoli Sariola. With this meeting project leader Dr. Malte Gasche and his research team want to prepare an exhibition about circus people as "Forgotten Cosmopolitans" at the Museum für Europäische Kulturen in Berlin in autumn 2020.
