The 19th volume of the eSeries, titled , has been published. Edited by Turo Hiltunen, Joe McVeigh and Tanja Säily, it discusses the issue of turning data into evidence for claims about language, texts and culture. The ten contributions included in the volume collectively address the issue from a variety of perspectives, using different types of data ranging from existing corpora to newly created resources of varying size and characteristics. The range of methods applied is likewise broad, including both traditional analyses of frequencies and co-occurrence patterns and interactive methods for data-driven exploration.
