2019 Chinese Bridge –Chinese Proficiency Competition Took Place in Helsinki

On Friday 12 April 2019 the Finnish Preliminaries of 2019 International Chinese Bridge Competition was successfully held in Helsinki. Students and teachers came from various schools and cities in Finland to participate this national competition.

There were separate sessions for University Students and Upper Secondary School Students.  The students showed their Chinese language skills by giving a short 3 minutes long speech in Chinese and then demonstrated their cultural talents by various ways like poem reciting, singing, piano playing and Hula Hoop performance. The panel of five judges, consisting of professional Chinese language teachers, had a hard job to select the winners of the competition among several talented students.

University Group:

3rd Prize: Richard Dunn, University of Tampere
