The Master's Programme in Urban Studies and Planning attracted applicants around the world.

The application period for the Masters Programme in Urban Studies and Planning has ended for the academic year 2018-2019. The programme received more than 150 applications from all continents, excluding Antarctica. The number of applications doubled from last year.

The application round was open for both the University of Helsinki and Aalto University. From the University of Helsinki only, 63 percent of applicants were international and originated from 40 different countries: Australia, Mexico, India, the UK, Denmark and many more.

As a whole, the international Master’s programmes of the University of Helsinki received a total of 2,946 applications. The increase was 83% from the previous year. This proves that Helsinki is an attractive study destination with world-class research, and the future is looking bright.

The USP team is excited to start the next academic year in full swing. It looks like the programme is going to be even more international and multidisciplinary!
