EMPIRICAL RESEARCH PROJECT In spring 2018, I was together with my team responsible for conducting an empirical study where our focus was lawyers and the possible changes in their work life due to technological advances and digitalisation. This was a great opportunity to learn about carrying out a project as we had the liberty to plan the study the way we wanted to but at the same time had support from the Legal Tech Lab’s crew. - Anna Band
RESEARCH WORK WITH THE FACULTY OF LAW, UNIVERSITY OF HELSINKI Lab's focus has been on lifting students up: it has given volunteers genuine opportunities to participate in meaningful ways - publishing articles, arranging and hosting events for a variety of audiences etc. The lab has cultivated a culture of diversity. Us volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and we have a diverse set of interest and passions. It has been valuable to learn from each other too. - Sonja Vainio
LEGAL TECH CON 2018, AN ACADEMIC CONFERENCE ON AI The best thing about Legal Tech Lab is the people. It is great to hang out with other people who also likes to combine law, tech and design and our pizza nights are awesome. Organising the conference was time-consuming, yet, really rewarding. For me, it was a chance to learn project management skills and I know it is a skill that will be of value in the future. - Fanny Mattsson
