HackTheLaw 2018!

Legal Tech Lab organised the first hackathon in Finland that addressed legal issues by solving them with legal technology for students in October 2017. Event was a great success and we are happy to announce that HTL! is coming back this year!

HackTheLaw! 2018 takes place on 12-14 October at Tiedekulma in Helsinki. Join other 50+ students from different countries and backgrounds studying for example law, design and computer science to compete for the prizes. This is a great change to meet future professional with a passion for learning and creative problem solving.

Hack the law Registration open until 5.10.2018

Join a weekend-long intensive dive into the world of legal technology, during which the students work in groups mentored by top professionals of the trade. This year we are offering two challenges to choose from:

The Challenge 1: Tools and technology for legal professionals

The Challenge 2: Assistive legal tech for persons with disabilities

As a learning event the high-energy weekend will be unforgettable and the multidisciplinary approach offers the students a great chance to network with future professionals. Law students will gain real-life experience by stepping outside the theoretical legal realm and joining tech-minded people in tackling a concrete problem head-on. IT and design students will get insight on the emerging legal tech scene.

The Grande finale: Prizes and a chance to shine at think corner stage

The reward? Make an impact and have a chance to present your work to industry influencers and win fame and glory. Oh yes, and prizes. The weekend will end with an epic wrap-up party.
