Catherine Bamford is the CEO and founder of BamLegal and is the UK’s leading Document Automation and Workflow Design specialist. Catherine is also a qualified Project Manager and was previously a Real Estate Lawyer.
Catherine helps law firms and in-house legal departments improve their legal service delivery through the use of legal technology. Evert Nõlv is CEO & Founder of legal tech company ExtendLaw. ExtendLaw is a legal know-how management software provider, whose clients include 2/3 of the TOP30 Law Firms in Estonia.
Evert has also worked for legal tech company RavelLaw in San Francisco and been an IT Advisor of Supreme Court of Estonia.
Evert is active legal tech advocate and currently a co-host of Estonian Legal Hackers and ambassador of European Legal Technology Association.

My name is Jussi Mäkinen and I work as a chief legal counsel at Technology Industries of Finland. Our association represents 1 600 Finnish manufacturing and tech companies. The key areas in my work are regulation, both at EU and national level and business law. We are actively pushing forward regulation that accelerates digitalisation and use of AI solutions. Previously I have worked in telecoms and as a civil servant in the Ministry of Communications. I also have expertise on copyright and data protection law.

Heikki Naski is a Senior Software Developer at Edita Publishing where he works with legal and procurement services and has 10+ years behind him as a professional programmer in a wide variety of business domains. In addition to developer duties Heikki has experience in all relevant aspects of software development including innovation, vision building, testing, deployment, server administration, project management, team dynamics and consulting.

A senior advisor in accessibility and barrier-free campus, Aalto University. Raike promotes and improves accessibility on education, research and daily activities on Aalto services and campuses.

Vice President of Jaatinen Centre for families with disabilities; Vice President of Disability and Accessibility Council of the Lutheran Church in Finland, Equality supporter, A mom of a son with a rare disability, Former Member of the National Council on Disability; been involved in a Disability Project in Cameroon and EU Disability Card; had the floor in UN Headquarters as a Member of Delegation of Finland at CRPD Conference, and Raoul Wallenberg University in St. Petersburg etc. As a theologian, a social ethicist. Jaatinen Association shares the joy of life for the children with disabilities!

Sakari Melander

Sakari Melander is a professor of criminal law at the Faculty of Law, University of Helsinki. He is currently also the vice dean (responsible for education) of the Faculty. His main areas of research are criminal law theory, constitutional dimensions of criminal law and EU criminal law.

Jukka Kumpuvuori

Jukka Kumpuvuori has been involved in the Finnish disability rights movement for 20 years. He graduated from Law Faculty of the University of Turku. He has worked through several research projects and contributed reports to the ministries of Social Affairs and Health and the Foreign Ministry, and ILO.
From 2010 he started his own law firm that focuses purely on disability rights litigation. At the moment the firm has 400 cases pending nationwide. He does plenty of pro bono, for example, representing currently all under 18 years persons with disabilities for free of charge.
In February 2018, he represented his client to take the first individual communication to the CRPD Committee. Simultaneously, he is the legal representative in a case pending at the Court of Justice of the European Union. He also organizes discussion events on disability rights extensively around Finland (60 events over past 3 years with 4.000 participants).
Kumpuvuori is a strong advocate of changing the society through legal system in general and litigation in particular. He works to systematize various advocacy approaches at the individual and organizational levels.
Kumpuvuori promotes the idea of Finland as the model state for disability rights with strong legislation on welfare benefits and anti-discrimination.

Hannele Korhonen

Hannele Korhonen is a lawyer-entrepreneur who has founded her own law firm, co-founded startups and worked as an advisor and counsel for banking and technology. Hannele is a Co-Founder of Contract Mill, a contract automation platform for lawyers to help them to leverage contract automation for client-centric business. Hannele is a passionate advocate for using technology and design to improve access to justice for all.

Sanni Eronen is a technology consulting and project management expert who works for Accenture. She has graduated from University of Eastern Finland majoring in Law and Economics and planned to become a researcher but through some career experimenting found her passion in technology delivery and business transformations. Currently she focuses on digitalizing Public sector in Finland.

Altti Mieho

Altti Mieho LL.M. works as Develoment Manager at Edita Publishing. He has several years experience in designing and creating tailormade and curated legal information services. In his current tasks Altti is focused on helping clients to be in top of legal requirements by ensuring easy access to relevant content.

Outcomes are judged by a panel of professionals on basis of submitted documentation of the project and given presentations.
