Tolou Shadbahr: "I was trilled to be awarded with the first place prize in the 9th Baltic meeting in connection with European Association Urology (Baltic EAU 2024) for my abstract title as "PI-RADS score 5 as a beacon for Prostate-specific mortality”. In this abstract we presented our recent results on significance of the prostate MRI and its scoring, PI-RADS scoring, as a prognosis marker for Prostate Cancer Specific Death (PCSM). Our findings suggests that additional to the pathological ISUP Grade Group 5 (GG5), PI-RADS score 5 is associated with the PCSM in the short follow-up. This result can be used to stratify patients with the more aggressive disease earlier, enabling better treatment and care for them. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Professor Antti Rannikko, Dr. Teemu Daniel Laajala, and all who provided immense support for conducting this fundamental research in the field of Prostate Cancer research."
