Social Entrepreneurship Incubator TREMOR Opens Call for Its 2nd Round

The six-month incubator offers ambitious teams the chance to develop their socially impactful solutions into fully-fledged ventures, through in-depth workshops and support from a dedicated network of mentors.

Applications to TREMOR, the University of Helsinki’s incubator for innovative solutions in the fields of society, education, communities, and law, are now open. Produced by Helsinki Incubators and powered by the city of Helsinki, the city centre -based programme will start on 23 August and run for half a year, taking on a motivated cohort of teams who are ready to turn their ideas into fully-fledged entrepreneurial ventures.

“Opening another call for the social impact incubator programme TREMOR is truly great news for social enterprises, since the UN just recently adopted a resolution on social and solidarity economy. We are so excited to be part of facilitating this in the University of Helsinki!” says the project lead of TREMOR, Minttu Ripatti, excitedly.

Selected teams will have various Finnish and international professionals giving them personalised guidance throughout the duration of the incubation period. In addition to mentoring, participants will take part in weekly in-person sessions of co-working and peer support opportunities as well as expert-led workshops. After finetuning based on feedback from the first batch’s teams, the workshops will be even more tailored to participants’ needs, covering a variety of relevant entrepreneurial issues and skills. As with all other Helsinki Incubators programmes, TREMOR will be held in English and will be free of charge.
