Literacy 2.0 Challenge: Bridging Tradition and Tech

Ready to re-write literacy?

Literacy 2.0 brings together people interested in creating solutions for the challenges of multiliteracy learning and new technologies. In this three-day challenge, participants get to ponder what kind of multiliteracies are needed in today's society.

Different questions related to literacy have been at the forefront of media and societal discussions for a while now. New technologies have emerged, and more often than not the regular book is displaced by other formats. Meanwhile, we desperately need skills in critical literacy, multiliteracy and knowledge of how to use artificial intelligence to our benefit.

What are the possibilities and challenges of artificial intelligence and other new technologies for multiliteracy? What tools and abilities are needed to critically read different formats today and how can that support learning?

To find answers to these questions, Helsinki Education Hub and Helsinki Think Company arrange a three-day co-creation challenge called ‘Literacy 2.0: Bridging Tradition and Tech” on 28.11.-30.11. The challenge brings together multidisciplinary teams to find solutions for literacy 2.0.
