Last but not least Zhu Xinyi and Wang Yijun performed Chinese music. After the fun, touching speeches and enjoyable music guests enjoyed some Chinese food and chatting.

Saturday 2nd of February the Confucius Institute held a party with CSSA-UH (Chinese Students and Scholars Association at University of Helsinki) at the New Student House. The event brought together students of Chinese language and the Chinese students to celebrate Chinese New Year. Students had an opportunity to enjoy a wide program with Chinese handicraft, calligraphy, wrapping of dumplings and a lot more.

The celebrations culminated in the New Year Festival held by the cities of Helsinki and Beijing on Monday 4th of February at the Kansalaistori. The event has been organized in Helsinki since 2007 and it combines a lively market to exquisite performances, ending with the fireworks in the evening.  The Confucius Institute had a small info stand selling textbooks for studying Chinese and some small decorations. The weather was cold, but the atmosphere made the place warmer.
