HSK tests

The HSK test is an international standardized exam that tests and rates non-native Chinese speakers' language proficiency. The HSK test consists of two independent parts, a writing test and a speaking test.

Confucius Institute at the University of Helsinki organizes the HSK Chinese proficiency tests once a semester. You can also take the test in Confucius Classroom at Gbtimes in Tampere or at the Universisty of Jyväskylä.

The HSK Writing Test is divided into six different levels: Levels 1-6

The HSK Speaking Test is divided into three levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

The registration for the HSK writing and speaking tests takes place separately.

For more information on the test structure and levels, please see the HSK information on the chinesetest website.
