The research team of the project “Restorative Justice in Prisons and Probation” (2023–2026), led by Professor Jonathan Hobson of the University of Gloucestershire, visited the Institute of Criminology and Legal Policy in University of Helsinki on Thursday, 23 April 2026.
The project brings together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Estonia, the Netherlands, and Finland to examine the availability, implementation, and delivery of restorative justice within prison and probation systems across Europe.
The Finnish participants in the project are Heidi Jokinen from Åbo Akademi University and Aino Jauhiainen from the Institute of Criminology and Legal Policy.
