Y Science is the annual Slush Signature Side Event hosted by the University of Helsinki’s Helsinki Institute of Life Science, taking place on 19 November 2025.

The event brings together curious minds from both the scientific community and industry to inspire and spark collaboration that results in societal impact. With inspiring talks, lively pitch sessions and engaging competitions, Y Science highlights the power of science-driven entrepreneurship and encourages researchers to explore new ways of creating impact.

Alongside science-based startups, investors, industry and other stakeholders, the event also invites promising commercialization project teams from the University of Helsinki to take the stage in the “Science to Business Runway”.

Over 100 startups – Nearly 20M€ in funding

Come meet the Helsinki Incubators staff as well as select startups at the University of Helsinki's stand. Since 2022, the University of Helsinki's startup programmes have supported over 500 teams and led to the creation of over 100 startups that have collectively raised nearly 20M€ in funding.
