New course: Principles of High-Throughput Plant Phenotyping

PheNo – the Norwegian Plant Phenotyping Infrastructure – is offering a new course, BIO412 – Principles of High-Throughput Plant Phenotyping (5 ECTS), running 22 September–9 October 2026 at NMBU, UiO and online. Applications are now open.

This course provides a practical and research-oriented introduction to modern high-throughput plant phenotyping. Students learn how digital imaging, sensor technologies, robotics and data analytics are used to measure plant traits efficiently across controlled and field environments. The course combines online teaching with an intensive in-person training week at NMBU and UiO.

When: 22 September – 9 October 2026
Where: NMBU, UiO and online
Credits: 5 ECTS (BIO412)
