The project developed a genomic selection tool to support the breeding of oat varieties resistant to red mold (caused by the fungi Fusarium graminearum and Fusarium langsethiae). It will also enable sufficiently detailed phenotyping of the modelling population for resistance to both F. graminearum (a DON producer) and F. langsethiae (a T2/HT2 producer).
