The permanent exhibition of the University Museum is located on the third floor of the Main Building. The exhibition recounts the fascinating story of Finland’s oldest university from the establishment of the Royal Academy of Turku in 1640 to the present day.

The Art Room of the University of Helsinki is located on the seventh floor of the Porthania building, overlooking the rooftops of southern Helsinki. The story of the Art Room can be traced back to the earliest days of the University. For years, it was the only institution providing public art education in Finland. Today, the Art Room is a significant intersection of research and art.

The maximum size of the group is approximately 25 people, and the duration of the workshop is between three and five hours. If the group is larger than 25 people, it can be split into two, with one half visiting the Museum while the other half delves into drawing. After this, the groups will switch places.

Price: €275.

The prices include drawing supplies, guidance and a presentation at the Art Room as well as a guided tour of the University Museum (food not included).
