The renewed Learning Centre Aleksandria opens on Tuesday 1 July 2025

The Learning Centre Aleksandria opens to students after a year-long renovation. The renewal will bring with it more than 300 workstations, new facilities and plenty of group study rooms.

The Learning Centre Aleksandria, located next to Kaisa House, will open to students on Tuesday 1 July after a year-long renovation. The renovation will bring more versatile study spaces and more than 300 new workstations to the City Centre Campus.

Students will have access to a wide range of electronic desks and docking screens, as well as several new spaces such as a family room, a sensory-friendly space and a relaxation room to recharge their batteries while studying. Distance learning during the day will be possible in the living room on the 1st floor and in the conversation friendly area on the 2nd floor. To find out more about the new facilities and services of the Learning Centre, please visit Aleksandria's new website.

During the summer, access to Aleksandria is from Fabianinkatu via the Aleksandria courtyard and from the entrances in the Kaisa House and Aleksandria entrance halls. Access to the Learning Centre with an access tag is also via the courtyard entrance.

The new spaces will be available as the furnishing progresses

New group study rooms have been built on the floor K1 and will be available for booking from 1 August. Not all of Aleksandria's spaces will be available from the beginning of July but will be gradually made available as the furnishing and equipping of the spaces is completed.

During the summer, access control to the student self-study spaces has also been renewed. Students will be able to access the Aleksandria 's facilities with a new access tag as early as 7.00 a.m. and will be able to work in some of the Learning Centre's spaces until 01.00 a.m. The new access tag can be picked up free of charge at the nearest key service point.
