The renovated Learning Centre Aleksandria opened to customers in July, and the official opening ceremony will be celebrated during orientation week on Wednesday, August 27. You're invited to Aleksandria's entrance floor from 10 am to 2 pm to explore the learning centre's new facilities and services. We will advise you on how to use the Laptop Lender and the Spacent room booking app, and tell you how to get an access tag so that you can use Aleksandria outside regular opening hours. Aleksandria's student hosts are also around to show you the learning centre's new facilities and answer any questions you may have about studying.
At 2 pm we will hear opening words from University Librarian Minna Niemi-Grundström, Vice Rector Kai Nordlund, and university student Venla Lehtinen. After the speeches, artist Lyyti will conclude the event with a few songs.
Aleksandria's second floor will be closed all day on August 27 due to the opening ceremony for invited guests.
