Spacent makes it easier to book group study rooms

Students and staff of the University of Helsinki can now book group study rooms in Kaisa House and the Kumpula, Meilahti and Viikki Campus Libraries using the Spacent application.

The library's customer survey pointed out that students find it difficult to book group study rooms via Outlook calendar. During the first months of the year, the library has gradually introduced the Spacent room booking app to make it easier to reserve group study rooms. Now both students and staff can book rooms easily from the app. The use of the app will be continued if it proves to work well, in which case it will become a permanent solution to simplify reservations.

How to set up Spacent

An account for Spacent is created using the University of Helsinki email address. After adding your email address, a six-digit login code will be sent to it. Once you have entered the code, you will be able to book group study rooms in the University Library. The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play app stores.

You can also continue to book rooms via Outlook Calendar.
