How to make the practices of research data management (RDM) and open access publishing familiar to undergraduate students? In the fall of 2022, the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Helsinki University Library implemented a collaborative project in which the teaching of open science practices were included in the master’s students’ course.
Research orientation is part of the new Master’s programme in pharmaceutical research, development and safety at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Helsinki. The programme was launched in autumn 2022. The responsible teachers of the course were in contact with the library's data support in good time before the course started in order to include the teaching of research data management skills in the course. You can read about their experiences of teaching open science practices on the university's ThinkOpen blog on digital research services and open science.
