HYY organises the Opening Carnival to open the academic year on at 2-6 pm on Monday September 5 at the City Centre Campus. At the Carnival, both new and old students of the University of Helsinki will get a chance to explore the diverse range of organisations operating under HYY.
The organizations will set up their stands in Porthania, Aleksandria and the Kaisa House entrance lobby (3rd floor). The preparations for the event start at 9 am, the event itself runs from 2 pm to 6 pm, and it will take about 2-3 hours to dismantle.
During the Opening Carnival, there will also be an Escape Room organized by the Library, which is played from 2 pm to 5.30 pm on floors 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Kaisa House.
Customers who wish to work in silence should take into account that the Opening Carnival and the Escape Room will cause some noise and traffic in the building. The Kaisa House entrance lobby on the 3rd floor will be particularly crowded from 1.30 pm to 6 pm. The library's customer service desk and the self-service machines will operate normally during the event. The most peaceful working space can be found on basement floors K3 and K4.
