Library services to resume from June onwards

Campus Libraries in Kumpula and Meilahti as well as Learning Centre Minerva will open again on June 1 following the guidelines of the Metropolitan Corona Coordination Group.

The Kaisa House, Kumpula and Meilahti Campus Libraries and The Learning Centre Minerva will be open again on Tuesday, June 1 onwards. Viikki Pop-up Library will open on Monday, June 7, and the Learning Centre Aleksandria on Monday, June 14. Opening hours are shorter in the summer, so we advice you to check the hours in advance on the library web site as you plan your visit.

Collections and materials are available as usual in all library locations. You are able to pick up books from the shelves and borrow them using the self-service machines.

About half of the reading and working places are in use. Places for keeping the safety distances are marked. Group study rooms and reading rooms will be in use from June 15 onwards. The students' break room (kitchen) in the Kaisa House will be out of use until further notice.

Please note, that wearing a protective face mask is required on library premises, unless there are no other people present. You can get a face mask from the building’s porter for free, or buy one from the library’s customer service.

More information regarding the resuming services has been updated on the library's website. You'll find all the electonic customer service channels there as well.

Changes to the library's opening hours can occur quickly during an exceptional situation. The library follows the recommendations and regulations of the University of Helsinki and the Metropolitan Corona Coordination Group.
