LGBTQI+ rights – successes and challenges in a global context -event on June 20th

The University of Helsinki will organize an event about LGBTQI+ rights on Tuesday 20 June at 13.00-14.30. In addition, as part of the Pride Month there will be a Pride café in the  Guidance Corner of the Kaisa House, the library will showcase queer literature and all campuses have the flying of flags for equality.

In April transgender law came into force, which improved the implementation of transgender rights in Finland. However, the rights of the gender and sexual minorities all over the world are not improving, but instead are getting worse. Come to hear about LGBTQI+ rights challenges and successes from a global perspective at Main Library Kaisa House or via streaming. There will be no recording of the event. The event is in parallel language – Finnish & English. Voluntary registration on this E-form.

We follow the principles of a safer space.
