Information Seeking and Reference Management Courses in the Spring

Do you want new ideas how to find sources for your thesis? Would you like to learn to use RefWorks reference management software?

This Spring, the Helsinki University Library offers a wide range of online courses and webinars. Students and staff at the University of Helsinki may participate in courses free of charge.

How to Find Courses?

You may browse the courses on studies.helsinki.fi by searching with “LIB-”.

You may also search for a specific course with the course code (for example LIB-500).  See the list of course codes on the Instructions for Students page.

On this online course, you’ll learn independently at your own pace for example about the following topics:

  • library services and databases
  • data and reference management tools
  • research ethics and open science.

The course helps you to evaluate the quality and credibility of information and use sources correctly. You’ll find more information on the article about the course.
