The reserve power engine of the sprinkler system will be lifted to the roof of Kaisa House, and Fabianinkatu will be partly closed in November 16-18. The site workers will guide visitors to the library and Aleksandria during the lifting work.
The overnight return machine next to the library's main entrance on Fabianinkatu is not in use between 6 am to 6 pm. After six o'clock, the return machine can be accessed normally.
During the lifting work, the main entrance can be reached from the direction of Metsätalo. Library's other entrances on Kaisaniemenkatu, Vuorikatu and through the Aleksandria lobby are in use normally.
Occasional noise disturbance at Kaisa House in November 15 - December 3
New sprinkler pumping stations will be tested from Monday November 15, causing occasional noise disturbance in the Kaisa House.
In other respects, the repairs have been completed on all floors of the library, and the collections and facilities are normally available. Work on the last floor was completed on November 5, 2021.
