Borrowing and returning printed materials
The due date for material from the Meilahti collection is January 10 as follows:
- 28 day loans starting on November 20,
- 14 day loans (textbooks) starting on December 4, and
- 2 day loans starting on December 14.
The due date for material from the Kaisa House, Kumpula and Viikki collections is January 10 as follows:
- 28 day loans starting on November 23,
- 14 day loans (textbooks) starting on December 7, and
- 2 day loans starting on December 19.
Meilahti Campus Library is closed between December 18 - January 7. Kumpula Campus Library is closed between December 25 - January 7. You can order books from the Kumpula and Meilahti collections to be picked up from the Kaisa House by making a normal reservation for the book in the Helka database.
The reservation shelve in Meilahti is available until December 15 and in Kumpula until December 22. After that reservations will be picked up from the Kaisa House.
You can return books to the Main Library and Viikki Campus Library during the opening hours. Books can be returned to the drop boxes around the clock at Kaisa House and Kumpula. In Meilahti, books can be returned to the Haartman Institute's return box (Haartmaninkatu 3) during the building's opening hours.
Opening hours
Kaisa House and Viikki Campus Library as well as Learning Centre Aleksandria have exceptions in opening hours between December 18 - January 7. The premises are closed on weekends and public holidays.
Meilahti Campus Library is closed between December 18 - January 7 and Kumpula Campus Library December 25 - January 7. Meilahti Campus Library has shorter opening hours between December 11-17.
