The Campus Libraries in Kumpula, Meilahti and Viikki, as well as the Learning Centres Minerva and Aleksandria will be closed from Monday November 30 at least until Sunday, January 31, 2021.
All reading and working areas and collection floors (K3-K4, 2 and 4-7) in the Main Library Kaisa House are closed from November 30 to January 31. Borrowing textbooks and reservation pick-ups will be available on weekdays between 8 am and 8 pm (from Dec 21 to January 15 on weekdays between 8 am and 6 pm). Entrance to the library by the main entrance in Fabianinkatu only. The lift from the metro station and Kaisaniemenkatu is only used for accessible route to the library. For assistance, please call the library customer service.
Borrowing of print material from Kaisa House will be available for all Helsinki University Library customers who have a Helka library card. You will be able to pick up textbooks from the shelves and borrow them using the self-service machines. You can also order books from the other collections in the Kaisa House as well as Kumpula, Meilahti and Viikki collections to be picked up at Kaisa House by making a normal reservation for the book in the Helka database.
You can reach the library's customer service by phone, e-mail and online. Customer service desks in the Campus Libraries are closed. The Main Library's customer service desk in Kaisa House is open on weekdays from 10 am to 7 pm.
Avoid long and unnecessary stays at the library
