Helsinki University Library operates on the university's four campuses and online.
The library is led by University Librarian Kimmo Tuominen. Vice Rector Sari Lindblom chaired the Board in 2021.
Helsinki University Library was established in 2010, when the university's campus libraries, faculty libraries and the Student Library were merged.
The library offers its customers comprehensive multidisciplinary printed and digital collections. The electronic materials are available to all customers on the library premises, and to the university community anywhere through remote access.
All persons over the age of 15 permanently residing in Finland have the right to use the library.
