Urbaria and Aalto Living+ platform cooperate closely within Urban Academy to bring together and promote the newest research done in the field of Urban Studies. The encounters for the researchers are organized in the Urban Lunch Hour seminar. Similarly, cooperation has been extended to education since 2017 when the Master’s Programme in Urban Studies and Planning became a joint programme of the both universities.
Urbaria collaborates in many ways with the city of Helsinki. City of Helsinki is a partner via Urban Academy. Urban Lunch Hour seminar is organized in close cooperation with Urban Research and Statistics Unit of the city. Urbaria is a partner in the organization of Helsinki symposium 2020, helping especially with the theme and the publication of the conference.
City of Espoo became a partner with Urbaria in 2018 through Urban Academy collaboration.
City of Vantaa became a partner with Urbaria in 2018 through Urban Academy collaboration.
KATUKO (Urban Studies Collective) is formed of PhD students from different Finnish universities, faculties, disciplines and viewpoint. They are an informal group of PhD researchers who wish to step over old and rigid organizational divides in urban research and share our passion about cities.
