HELSUS Members are researchers at the University of Helsinki whose research profile fits into HELSUS research aims. The research of HELSUS Members deals with complex sustainability problems and/or sustainability transformation and may be connected to one of the research areas of HELSUS (Urban, Arctic, Global South, Consumption and Production, Theory and Methodology). HELSUS members have plans for future research directions towards sustainability science, as well as shown evidence of past and ongoing research. PhD Students in the field of sustainability science can apply for HELSUS Student Membership.

  • is a part of an interdisciplinary research community with vibrant new activities
  • establishs new contacts both nationally and internationally
  • is eligible to apply for HELSUS fellowships, visitors' program and seed funding  (Members from HELSUS faculties only)
