As of 1 October 2025, the board of Helsinki Innovation Services Ltd is composed of IP strategist Sonja London (chair), Chief Financial Officer Marjo Berglund, Vice-Rector for innovation and infrastructures Jouni Hirvonen and technology and innovation strategy leader Jarmo Eskelinen. At this juncture, Director of Communications and Community Relations Taina Kyllönen is leaving the board.
“I am thrilled to start in my new post as the board chair of Helsinki Innovation Services. The University of Helsinki’s research-based technologies are needed to support the Finnish private sector, and transferring intellectual property to the market is increasingly topical. We have an excellent vantage point and the opportunity to promote the sector,” says Sonja London, adding:
“A heartfelt thank you to Taina for her commitment and contribution to the HIS board. At the same time, we welcome Jarmo Eskelinen as a new member.”
