NNF-IAS Programme on Health and Sustainability

The NNF-IAS Fellowship Programme is a collaboration between eight Nordic Institutes for Advanced Studies, coordinated by the Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies and supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

The NNF-IAS Fellowship Programme is a collaboration between eight Nordic Institutes for Advanced Studies, coordinated by and supported by the . The programme runs from 2027 until 2032, and it hosts excellent early-career researchers in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

This ambitious programme explores innovative solutions to challenges within health and sustainability from interdisciplinary and transformative perspectives. In groups of five fellows and one theme lead, fellows in the programme work in two-year fellowships in parallel across the Nordic countries, with an aim of strengthening research, mobility, talent, and networking.

There will be four groups in the programme, the first starting in September of 2027 to work on the sub theme “Inequity in Health”.

Professor David Schlosberg will lead the 2029–2031 research theme on Sustainability. The theme will be coordinated by the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies.
