Climate expertise is needed now!
Climate change is transforming society and working life as we know it. Addressing the ongoing changes require professionals who understand not only the natural sciences that govern our climate system but also its economic, societal, and legal dimensions. The Specialisation programme in climate expertise provides this broad, multidisciplinary expertise.
What is the programme like?
- The two-year, 60 ECTS programme is designed to be completed alongside work and is accessible to participants from across Finland.
- Studies include independent online learning, monthly online sessions and approximately 2–3-days of intensive in-person teaching per season.
- The programme fee is 7,200€ (120€ per ECTS credit).
Who is the programme for?
- The programme is designed for professionals from different fields who want to strengthen their climate expertise. It is suitable both for those already working with climate-related issues and for professionals whose work increasingly requires climate expertise.
- Applicants must have at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree from a university or university of applied sciences. The programme is also well suited to professionals with a master’s or doctoral degree.

Language of instruction
The programme is taught in Finnish. Teaching, learning materials, assignments and group work are primarily in Finnish.
