Apply for a grant for research on the treatment and rehabilitation of traumatic injuries and occupational diseases in 2024

Finance Finland, the Finnish Workers’ Compensation Center and the Finnish Motor Insurers’ Centre are funding scientific research focused on impact studies on the treatment and rehabilitation of traumatic injuries and occupational diseases through the University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Medicine.

Applications for grants provided by the insurance sector can be submitted by researchers, research communities and research groups. The application period is from 1 November to 15 December 2023.

When deciding on the funding, the exploitation potential of the research in the treatment and rehabilitation of injuries that have occurred in occupational accidents and traffic will be taken into account. The research to be funded must be practical and based on a long-term approach.

The grants are based on a donation made by Finance Finland, the Finnish Workers’ Compensation Center and the Finnish Motor Insurers’ Centre to the Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki. Applications will be assessed by a working committee of experts appointed by the Faculty of Medicine. The dean of the Faculty of Medicine will decide on the grant recipients upon the committee’s proposal in February 2024.
