Unpacking diversity

Please join us for the opening event of the Diversity Dialogues series on 10.9.2026 at 15.00–17.00. The series will be launched with a panel discussion “Unpacking diversity” held in the Common Room of the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies. 

The panel will be chaired by the director of DIVSOL, (General linguistics), and the panelists are (Finno-Ugric language studies), (Environmental sciences), (Sociology) and (Practical theology).  

When: Thursday, 10 September 2026, at 15.00  

Where: Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies, Common Room, Fabianinkatu 24, 3rd floor

Each panelist will host one event during the academic year 2026-2027, as follows: 

  • Thursday, 3 December 2026 at 15–17: Olesya Khanina 
  • Thursday, 14 January 2027 at 15–17: Lena Näre  
  • Thursday, 18 February 2027 at 15–17: Teemu Pauha  
  • Thursday, 8 April 2027 at 15–17: Ian MacGregor Fors
