Diversity Dialogues

DIVSOL will host an interdisciplinary Diversity Dialogues discussion series during the academic year 2026–2027.

The discussions will be chaired by senior researchers representing humanities, social sciences, theology and biological and environmental sciences at the University of Helsinki. All events will be arranged in person only.

The series will be launched on 10th September at 15.00–17.00 with a panel discussion “Unpacking diversity” held at the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies Common Room (Fabianinkatu 24).

10.9.2026 Unpacking Diversity, chair: Kaius Sinnemäki

The first Diversity Dialogues session is a panel discussion entitled “Unpacking diversity”. The panel will be chaired by the director of DIVSOL,  (General linguistics), and the panelists are  (Finno-Ugric language studies),  (Environmental sciences),  (Sociology) and  (Practical theology).
