DigiTala research project (2019–2023) develops a digital tool to assess oral language in high-stakes tests in Finland. The tool can also be used for students to practice foreign or second language pronunciation or producing speech. Pilot versions will be made for Swedish and Finnish language. New language technology is created and utilised in the project by experts of pedagogy, technology and phonetics from the University of Helsinki, Aalto University and University of Jyväskylä.
