The Department of Philosophy, History, Culture and Art Studies brings together the long traditions of the oldest of the university's disciplines and new, rising subjects. The multidisciplinarity of the humanities forms the basis for the research and teaching provided by the department. The department has over 1500 major degree students with nearly 200 new students enrolled every year through entrance exams and master’s degree applications. The department offers a wide array of subjects to choose from and the teaching draws on current research.
