HSSH and HEREMES invite you to this exiting book talk with professor Amanda Lagerkvist from the University of Uppsala on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 2 PM to 4PM. The event will be organised in Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies and professor Lagerkvist will discuss their recent book entitled: Existential Media. A Media Theory of the Limit Situation (Oxford University Press, 2022).

is a professor of Media and Communication Studies in Department of Informatics and Media, in Uppsala University, Sweden). They are also a HSSH Guest Professor and HEREMES Guest Lecturer.  Their work explores digital-human vulnerabilities in the light of existential philosophy. The themes that they study include death online, digital memories and the increased automation of human life (Source: Uppsala Universitet Catalogue, online).
