Centre for European Studies staff members Hanna, Johanna, and Kaius participated in the Faculty’s conferment ceremony last week, marking an important academic tradition. This prestigious event, which is held only once every five years, celebrates scholarly achievement and the academic community, and it will next be organized in May 2031.
Looking ahead, there are also significant developments within the Centre. Kaius Tuori has been appointed as the new Director of the Finnish Institute in Rome, located at Villa Lante, for a four-year term beginning in autumn 2026. To replace Kaius' position, a new university lecturer will be hired to take on teaching duties in the European history and politics module of ENS.
