Travel to Turku

You can travel to Turku either:

• via Helsinki (by flight or by cruise-ship from Stockholm, Estonia, and Germany, and then flight, train, or bus to Turku)
  OR 
• directly to Turku (by flight or by cruise-ship from Sweden). 

When making your travel arrangements, please consider pre-conference excursions (7 October)

Option 1: Tampere

You may join the pre-conference excursion to Tampere departing either from Helsinki or Turku, with return to Turku. Hence, if you arrive via Helsinki and plan to join the Tampere excursion, you do not need to travel to Turku to join the excursion. 

Train tickets for the Tampere excursion will be reserved and purchased for registered participants based on their registration details by organizers.

Travel time to Tampere from both Helsinki and Turku is approximately 2 hours.

Option 2: Turku 

If you plan to participate in the pre-conference excursion in Turku, please make sure to arrive in Turku before the excursion begins. There is a frequent bus and train connection from Helsinki airport or city center to Turku. 

Travel time from Helsinki to Turku by train or bus is approximately 2 hours.
