The Nordic Network for Human Remains in Collections (NNHRC) brings together professionals, researchers, and authorities from across the Nordic countries who work with or are responsible for human remains in collections. By fostering dialogue across national borders, the network aims to strengthen collaboration and develop responsible and transparent approaches to the stewardship of human remains.
The annual NNHRC conference provides a forum for sharing knowledge, experiences, and best practices related to the research, care, management, and ethical considerations surrounding human remains in museums, universities, and heritage institutions. The conferences highlight current issues, challenges and developments in the field while encouraging comparative discussion between Nordic countries in an international context.
