The conference will be held at the University of Helsinki City Centre Campus in the Main building.

The main building of the University of Helsinki (venue) is easily accessible by train, metro, bus and tram. The Main railway station and the Helsinki University metro stop are a short walk away.

Transportation

Getting from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport to the City Centre

The most affordable and efficient way to reach central Helsinki from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is by train. The airport's train station is conveniently located directly beneath the terminal, accessible via escalators and lifts from the arrivals hall.

Train Services:

  • Lines: Both the I and P commuter trains operate between the airport and Helsinki Central Railway Station. Trains depart every 10 minutes during peak hours. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. 

Ticket Information:

  • Type: You will need an ABC zone ticket.
  • Price: €4.40 for a single adult ticket, valid for 90 minutes across all HSL public transport modes, including buses, trams, and the metro.
  • Purchase Options:
    • HSL mobile app
    • Ticket machines located on the train platform

Moving Around in Helsinki

Helsinki has an extensive, reliable, and easy-to-use public transport system operated by HSL (Helsinki Region Transport). The same ABC zone ticket purchased for the airport train is valid for 90 minutes and can be used across all modes of public transport, including:

  • Trains
  • Buses
  • Trams
  • Metro

Within Helsinki you will get by with the AB zone ticket. Tickets allow unlimited transfers within the validity period and zone coverage. For longer stays or frequent travel within the city, day tickets and multi-day options are also available.
