For International Travelers.
Welcome to Helsinki!
Arriving at Helsinki-Vantaa airport, the easiest way out is to take regional train I or P towards Helsinki central railway station, which is just a short walking distance (5-10 min walk) from hotels, Radison Blu and Hotel Arthur. Tickets should be bought from a vending machine (located at the platform) for around 5 euros. You need an ABC-ticket.
You can also take buses number 615 or 617. These buses are part of the public transport system, and cheaper than the private airport shuttle bus. All buses go to the central railway station. Bus tickets should be bought from a vending machine which is located next to the bus stop (card). It is no longer possible to buy tickets from the driver, due to covid. Perhaps, that may change in August, but it’s safer to buy from the vending machines. The ticket price is the same as for the train, and again, you need an ABC-ticket. In case you take a taxi, the fee is automatically calculated on the system; it shouldn’t be more than 40 euros from the airport to the hotel.
If you are booked at Unihome Helsinki, you will need to take a metro or city tram from the central railway statation; this takes only about 10 minutes. You can use the same ticket you bought at the airport for the duration of the ticket validity indicated in the ticket.
