The International Colloquium on Ancient Greek Linguistics (ICAGL) series held its 7th meeting in 2011 (Ghent University) where it merged with the Italian biennial series Incontro Internazionale di Linguistica Greca (IILG). The 8th ICAGL was held in Rome Tor Vergata in 2015.

The motif behind this series of colloquia is to study aspects of Ancient Greek linguistic usage from all angles, synchronically and diachronically, whether this be connected to language variation or development, and whether it relates to the phonological, morphological, syntactic or semantic/pragmatic level.
